Floral Print

Material: Japanese-inspired floral print on light ramie voile
Fabrication: Czech Republic
Origin: Fabrics are woven in Asia, printed in Austria.
Mixture: 100% Ramie

Inspiration: Blossoms in the style of Kacho-e. This classic Japanese representation of images of nature, plants and animals in coloured woodcuts are the main inspiration for the decorative elements and print patterns. The Japanese blossoms unfold their full colour effect on light ramie voile.

The ramie fibre is obtained from the bast part of the stem of the ramie plant. This natural fibre belongs to the group of bast fibres. The fibre bundles can reach a length of up to two meters. As a result, ramie fibres are among the longest and most rigid plant fibres. As a pure fibre, ramie produces light silky fabrics similar to linen. This fibre is extremely fine, does not have to be bleached because it is inherently snow-white and can therefore be woven into the finest fabrics, such as batiste and voile (French: veil). These terms are used to describe transparent, fine-threaded, plain-weave fabrics.
