‚For three years the American photographer Jackie Nickerson travelled with her truck through Malawi, Mozambique and Zimbabwe, photographing farm workers at work on farms and fields. These are powerful and sensitive images that she took here in the late 1990s. The resulting series „Farm“ focuses on the unique and beautiful clothes that the workers make for themselves. It is this gentle visual language that inspires the ISCHIKO Spring/Summer 2021 collection. It underlines the identity, individuality and ultimately the modernism of the people portrayed.‘

Feminine and understandable, the special thing is how each individual part of the look is combined. Outfits are put together individually, far removed from everything overloaded or superficial. Suitable for everyday use and wearing comfort without sacrificing individuality are key aspects of the new ISCHIKO season. The silhouette is casually relaxed and can be easily transformed into a more feminine, figure-hugging look. Flowing dresses and caftans, airy blouses also in tunic lengths meet relaxed trousers with round or accentuated wide legs. Utility elements such as large pockets and topstitching are a symbol for strong women and remain an indispensable part of the collection. The knitwear brings innovation: ultra-light, extra soft or oversized, the possibilities are limitless. The focus is on durable, sustainable fabrics made from natural fibres.

Summery yocell-linen blends, crisp fresh cotton and environmentally friendly cotton-hemp are the perfect partners for the ISCHIKO Signature Jersey. Colourful accessories made of natural materials set accents. Colour and light, Jackie Nickerson‘s portraits have something almost painterly about them. This softness is reflected in the ISCHIKO colours: pineapple yellow and lilac bleached by the sun, delicate lime green together with a slightly dusty cement grey and field green. Warm sun yellow, rich ruby red and dark night blue add depth to the colour palette. Versatile, more than fashion and therefore indispensable – this is ISCHIKO. Care, longevity, and individuality paired with a sensitive view of the community are the trends of the future.
