Autumn/Winter collection to a great Mexican singer, Chavela Vargas: “I am a person who doesn’t fit any norm. I never did what people expected me to do.” Creative, non-conformist and independent in her style and nature, she performed in the bars of Acapulco, the meeting place of celebrities from politics, culture and Hollywood. She dressed in men’s trousers and ponchos, smoked cigars and sung passionate love songs in a raspy voice. This is how she became famous, having numerous affairs with women like Frida Kahlo and living her life as if intoxicated. Then Chavela Vargas disappeared from the stage, withdrew and fell into oblivion. In the 1990s, filmmaker Pedro Almodóvar rediscovered her and helped her make a remarkable comeback, which she crowned with a Carnegie Hall debut at the age of 83.

OSKA’s modern image of women places individuality and timeless design at the fashionable centre. Finding and living one’s own style, cultivating details and refining the tried and tested. Contrasts are an integral part of the new look: feminine and masculine, sporty and pure. Deceleration instead of oversaturation, timeless classics and simple, wide silhouettes are the attributes that characterise this grown-up style, alongside high-quality materials such as wool, fine knitwear and cotton. Patterns are confidently combined with each other, blouses in men’s shirt style are worn with round, soft-falling trousers, a casual jumper in cosy cotton bouclé with a fine skirt in a floral print. A mix of patterns makes a statement and adds an individual touch. Trouser suits and dresses remain trend-setting and can be masculine sporty or casually feminine. Warming, water-repellent outdoor coats made of technical fabrics are also implemented as enveloping ponchos and combined with the iconic OSKA boiled wool made of pure wool.

The colour palette is soft, warm and intense, yet pure and clear. Calm natural tones, sandy white and shades of grey harmonise with soft, light nuances from green to blue. Rich lapis, lazuli blue, intense purple, vibrant red and warm whisky set accents. Dark navy, black and deep reed green radiate calm and ground the look.

Fashion is creative thinking, a kind of “smile in the mind”. It can give self-confidence or be associated with a beautiful memory. In any case, fashion is the mirror of personality, a sign of the joy of simply being oneself.
